Luis Ake is back. With "Ein Schöner Traum" the artist shows himself positively euphoric. Together with producer Konrad Betcher (Dagobert, Casper, Minneapolis) he has set out on a journey to explore the clouds of happiness. "Happiness, unlike sadness, is hard to grasp or hold on to. To me, a cloud is the perfect symbol of it. It floats over us, is always in motion and thus impossible to grasp," says Luis Ake.

The accompanying music video aims to capture many different positions of the cloud of happiness, rather than just show Luis Ake's very personal one-dimensional view. "I thought a lot about the moment of happiness in the course of this song. Also about its temporality. Instagram dictates, for example, that a moment of happiness lasts for fifteen seconds. I find that very exciting. That's why I asked twelve artist and filmmaker friends if they could produce an interpretation of their personal cloud for me. The whole thing is not so much a critique as an attempt to see if fifteen seconds is really a good unit of time for a moment. It's meant to illustrate the moments of happiness as we show them to the world today on Instagram."
